Can you pull it off? Rohit Sharma's pull shot, scored live
15 creators took on Rohit's 2019 World Cup pull at a hydRo event in Mumbai, scored live by Pitchwolf.

On Thursday 22 October, hydRo and Meta brought 15 creators to Meta's office in Mumbai with one job: play the pull shot like Rohit Sharma. Each of them got a few balls in a net, and Pitchwolf scored their pulls live on a big screen. Then Rohit picked up the bat.

The shot to match
Every creator was measured against one shot: Rohit's pull for six at the 2019 World Cup. We compared each of them with Rohit through its four moves (bat up, swing, hit and finish). Match him exactly and you score 100.

One net, one camera
There were no sensors and nothing to strap on. One camera filmed the net, and Pitchwolf read each swing from that video alone.
- Step 1Film the swing
One camera on a tripod, facing the batter.
- Step 2Follow the body
Pitchwolf tracks the batter from bat up to finish.
- Step 3Match it to Rohit
Every moment of the swing is set against Rohit's at the same moment.
- Step 4Score it live
The score is ready about 0.6 seconds after the hit, then the big screen reveals it.

Who pulled it off
Hirav Mehta came closest with 96. Digvijay Singh scored 95 and Luke Coutinho 94, and seven creators made it out of the park with 90 or more.

Rohit batted last and scored 96 against his own World Cup pull, the joint best of the day.
Thank you, Rohit
Thank you to Rohit for the shot everyone was chasing, to hydRo for making it happen, and to Meta for hosting us.
Bring it to your event
One net, one camera and a big screen. If you are planning a cricket event or a brand day, we can build a live challenge around it.
